Landis Fryer worked in undergraduate admissions at both Dartmouth College, his alma mater, and Northwestern University. In addition to reading applications and making admissions decisions, Landis led the recruitment efforts for Black students at both Dartmouth and Northwestern. Landis moved to Seoul, South Korea to launch a start-up admissions and personal skills center for Korean high school students seeking enrollment in American universities. He then spent several months in Shanghai helping Chinese students learn about the U.S. college application process. Landis has an MS in higher education from the University of Pennsylvania and a Ph.D. in comparative and international education at Loyola University Chicago. His dissertation was on global leadership development in South Korea.
