When is the last time you reviewed your credit report? In the month of June we are often asked by families if student loans will appear on their credit report. The answer is yes! Student loans appear on this detailed summary of your credit history and are factored into your overall credit score, just like any other type of loan. Additionally, if a parent co-signs a loan with a student the loan will appear on the credit report for both parties. In this brief video, we highlight what is a credit report and why it’s important.
