Tova Javetz’s introduction to college admissions was as a student tour guide and interviewer for her alma mater, Barnard College. She began her professional career at Barnard as well, working as a senior admission officer. In that capacity, she was a member of the admission committee, a liaison to the athletic department, and provided oversight of campus programs. Following her time at Barnard, Tova moved across the street to Columbia University to complete her master’s degree and served as an application reader and selection committee presenter. She then worked as an associate director of admission at both Fordham and Montclair State Universities. She has managed the athletic recruitment process of a Division I, Patriot League school, directed alumni recruitment efforts, implemented online application review, and reviewed more than 10,000 applications.
