Bachelor of Science in Advertising
Aysha Wong entered the college admissions field shortly after earning her bachelor of science in advertising from the University of Florida. She began her career as an admissions counselor working with students from Florida’s three largest counties and coordinating large scale recruitment and yield events. She soon discovered a passion for working with underrepresented and diverse student populations, which ultimately led her to transition into an assistant director role overseeing international admission. In that role, she evaluated applications from all regions of the world while collaborating closely with the international student services office, Graduate School, and academic graduate departments to develop admission policies and guidelines that best served students of all backgrounds. She also served on multiple committees, including the University Student Petitions Committee and the Admission Merit Scholarship Committee.
