After graduating from Carleton College, Brian began his career in higher education at the Center for Excellence in Urban Teaching at Hamline University as an intern and program coordinator. He returned to Carleton College to begin his career in admissions, initially serving as the coordinator of outreach programs. Brian was responsible for building connections with college access non-profits across the US while also recruiting students from Texas, Tennessee, Illinois & Nebraska. Brian concurrently served as the director of the Carleton Liberal Arts Experience, a highly selective summer enrichment program. He worked closely with coaches as an athletic liaison and managed the summer admissions fellows program. Most recently, Brian led the international recruitment team at Carleton and oversaw the reading and admission of students from Asia, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Oceania, and the Caribbean.
